Mohammad Deen – SMU CRNA Student, Author, Humanitarian
Would you like to do international humanitarian work in the future? What is it like to be in the field as a healthcare provider in the middle of a refugee camp?
Join Mohammad Deen as he takes you through his journey between Turkey, Northern Greece, and Lebanon (one hour away from the Syrian border). Deen spent nearly four months out of the last year working in refugee camps, taking the sick and injured to Germany and Switzerland - often times as the only health care provider at night for up to 3000 people. Deen was the leader for the last mission in Lebanon and has led various teams in Northern Greece during his time there. He also produced and directed a mini film and co-authored a book about his experiences and will be speaking at TEDxIHEParis in May.
Deen will share his stories and also provide advice to those who want to get involved in the field of international humanitarian aid.
